General Diploma in Homeopathy

Internationally acclaimed, this popular course offers an Open University style, distance learning, comprehensive home study course for the prestigious Diploma of the Institute in Homeopathy, entitling the holder to use the initials, DIHom. Over 3,000 graduates are now practicing homeopathy throughout the world.

Eligibility

The course is designed for students at all levels of knowledge and experience in homeopathy, including physicians, osteopaths, dentists, nurses and practitioners of other holistic therapies, such as acupuncturists, naturopaths, physical therapists, reflexologists, aromatherapists, herbalists, or other health professionals. Applicants with a good general education and a commitment to homeopathy are also eligible. Students may enrol directly for the Diploma Course. As the course is entirely by home study, it may be commenced at any time throughout the year. Optional supplemental in-class Seminars are announced in the International British Institute News sent free to all students or by Regional Directories outside the United Kingdom.

Duration

The duration of the course is approximately 500 hours, normally over two years, but students work at home and can study at their own pace. Your personal one-to-one tutor will help you to achieve whatever goal you set to complete the course.

Course Programme

The course comprises of 29 written lessons, with 13 test papers to enable the student to monitor his or her own progress. Written lessons are supplemented by audio and video tapes, which may be retained by the student. Each student has an expert, personal one-to-one tutor who will mark papers and guide the student through the course on a friendly, informal basis. Students can communicate with their personal tutors by e-mail on request. There is a first, second and a final examination, all taken in the student's own home unless the student requests invigilation for personal, legal or professional reasons.
