1. Syllabus

The British Institute of Homoeopathy Limited reserves the right to amend or update the syllabuses of all courses at any time.

2. Certification

British Institute awards on the successful completion of a course are for certification and do not constitute a licence to practice. It is the responsibility of the student to inquire and to adhere to local laws and regulations that govern the practice of natural therapies including homoeopathy.

3. Copyright

All rights reserved. The BIH exercises its intellectual copyright over all BIH materials. All written lessons, audiotapes, videotapes and CDs etc. are copyrighted and may not be publicly displayed or copied in whole or part, reproduced, stored in a retrieval system, or transmitted in any form or by any means electronic, mechanical, photocopied, recorded or otherwise except with the prior written authorisation of the British Institute. All course materials are provided on the above basis may be retained by the student for his or her personal use only.

4. Refund Policy

If a student wishes to withdraw from any course for any reason, subsequent to registration, a refund may be granted subject to the following conditions. i. Registration fees are non-refundable for any reason. ii. No refunds will be considered of 60% or more of the course has already been completed. iii. No refunds will be considered if more than two years have elapsed since a student has contacted his or her personal tutor or the Institute offices in writing, even if less than 60% of the course has been completed. iv. The balance of fees already paid, relating to that part of the course(s) yet to be completed less an administration charge of 25% will be refunded at the discretion of the Director and Principal. v. All and any refund will be related to fees applying at the time of registration and published in the prospectus.

5. Integrity

All students, graduated, Fellows and tutors of the Institute pledge to uphold the goodwill, integrity, reputation and teaching of the British Institute worldwide.

6. Application of Course Materials

All course materials are provided for education purposes only. Any illustrations and cases are for guidance only and are not intended to replace in any way whatsoever a details case taking and evaluation of the client and his/her problem(s). Students may opt to work by email. Most courses are available on CdRom.

7. Tutors

Although every effort is made to appoint a permanent personal tutor for an entire course of study, the British Institute reserves the right to change tutors at any time as circumstances arise. Students would be advised in advance of this event.

8. Payments by Credit Cards

All credit card transactions are made in pounds sterling at the exchange rate published in the London Evening Standard on that day.

9. Hippocratic Oath

All graduates of the British Institute who legally practice a complementary therapy are expected to pledge themselves to the Hippocratic Oath.
